Gorgeous pix Steve. I'm hoping that I can open up some gaps in the fence and possibly get a hoggie coming in, now that I have the water scare to keep the r***y cats out. Working a treat image

Lovely pix too yarrow. I know jackdaws are a bit thuggish, but I quite like their boldness. Ditto magpies.

Perhaps your starling has lost his map and compass...image

I think I tried a Helianthemum donkey's years ago in another garden, but it didn't do very well. Technically alpines, so didn't like the winter wet. Perhaps with a bit of shelter over winter - a cloche if you're in a wet area? Are you a bit further north than me? I can't remember. image

Ironically - many of them are named after Scottish hills! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Looking great Wonks. Lovely when everything starts maturing isn't it?  image

What has your friend done re the bees? Did he/she get in touch with a local bee keeper?

Thanks Fairy image everything is growing so much its getting a bit crowded! image I've had to dig another bed! image friend has been told to watch Monty he had exactly the same situation on GW. I think she is calling the councils environmental department, they tend to come and relocate them image she's just happy that I told her they weren't wasps! She's not much of a gardener! image

Yes - I actually watched GW last night - unusual for me, it's usually Sunday morning. Hope you get it resolved successfully. image

Re growing too quickly - I have the same situation in the border running along my main boundary. Shouldn't have brought all that manure back from work! I will now have to do some relocating...image

  • So many beautiful pictures... i love the plant combinations, everything seem to be happy together whether the borders seem to be planned and colour schemed or not. That "it happened on its own, i swear" touch of greenfinger-itude... Envy? Me? Totally ?

The wildlife pictures are lovely. I still can't believe how crisp was the image of the bee...

  • imageGarden just about coming into bloom. Loving the heritage Foxgloves, look almost as wild as the ones I remember seeing growing wild as a kid.
