Just looking at the late colour in my garden for the end of October. All of my bulbs have now been planted. I am going to have an operation on my wrist the week after next. So sadly no gardening or photo taking for the time being. I will, however, enjoy looking at all of your beautiful pictures of 2016.
It is a Rudbeckia 'Summerina Orange' perennial. Hopefully it might still flower if it stays mild enough. Who knows with our weather at the moment. Happy Gardening.
Your flowers are looking terrific! I wish I had a longer season to enjoy blooms in my garden. But while walking the muddy banks of the river yesterday I came across a lone pansy plant covered in blooms. Now this loner was way out there, the river is very low right now but most of the year that spot the pansy picked will be under water.
I noticed this Jacky Lizard sunning itself on top of a rose plant. I hate to,think of how he got up,there, avoiding the thorns. Sorry the quality of the photo is poor, but you'll get the general idea.
Afternoon Pat and morning to all you slug-a-beds, it's 4.30am on Sunday...shake a leg. Don't know why I am up at this unearthly hour but no point staying in bed if sleep is far away.
Never heard of a Jacky lizard Pat. interesting. Loved looking at all your spring flowers, it's motivated me to get out there later and sort out the bulbs once and for all, I have been faffing.

Hope the operation goes well Jacqueline and that your wrist will be fine for spring gardening.
You still have lots of colour. What is the plant with the ladybird on it?
Thank you Joyce21.

First Arum Lilly opening up for spring. The little insect is, I think, some sort of native bee. They are everywhere lately.
Pat,
That's an interesting bee.
