thanks so much to everyone for their nice comments about my pics, really appreciate it image

  • Such a beautiful picture of magnolia & snow - you must have had some warmer weather to encourage the buds - so will they survive the cold snow?

Winter, I use the spray-on, so much more convenient. How is your pooch doing, still helping with the garden? Did the big storm blow you away?

Guernsey, they only began opening a couple of days ago, so, depending on tonight's temps, they'll probably be fine.

The wind has come up , the snow should be ending soon.

    Thank you, David.

Your magnolia looks very pretty like that but I hope it will be OK when the snow melts.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Oooooh Yvie, how green your borders look already,  mine are still scruffy image

David,  I  know you can cope with anything mother nature throws at you,  years of expertise have stood you well

my pooch is fabulous and yesee,  he does manual labour for me in the garden, chewing sticks mostly, and running off with my plant pots even when there's a plant in it! image he's a sun lover though. ..won't work in wet or woolly conditions

Katie made a right racket here in southern England, luckily no local damage, garden fences still standing image

Thinking about the above magnolia, this happened to my lovely camellia 'Water Lily' last year.....totally ruined it.
