WW these among others are my fav. I see from your pics you're starting a new project ... well, best of luck ... was in your position 20 years ago!!! It takes plenty of tweaking to get it right, never mind hard frost killing things and having to replace them ... it's all a learning process 20 years on!!!
You're doing brilliantly Wonks. After only three years, from what was basically a car park, mine looks like it's been there a very long time. It's very satisfying isn't it?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Can't remember if I posted any photos of my Open Garden, Wonky. People came in dribbles and drabbles throughout the day. Here is my garden on the day. But I didn't take many photos, no time.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lovely pictures of your open garden day Busy Lizzie, everything looks very lush. It is very much like the gardens that we visit here - with interest around every corner, lovely, cared for plants and refreshments to tempt the visitors too. Your grass looks to be very green - do you sprinkle it?
Thanks Fairy it is so satisfying isn't it, the transformation from a carpack to the lovely garden you have created now must give you huge satisfaction!
BusyL, I dream of having that much space! Don't think I'd ever come indoors! But then that cake looks rather good!
Thanks Julie, the back seems to have survived but the left thumb is complaining terribly! I keep moving plants about though, I can't stop! Its rained so much I'm not sure they will notice but they have outgrown their places! I feel an ever expanding boarder happening!

Slice of cake and black coffee for me Busy-Lizzie! ? (I would love a wander around too!)
Great job Wonky! I hope you're recovering... I've had many days ending up with a good layer of Deep Heat to try to save my back!
Lovely roses GlovesnWellies. I really like how some roses age beautifully and give a two tone effect.
Too wet to go out to play
