I have a small quadrant shaped border on my front driveway, as its seen by everyone who walks past my house I try and keep it presentable. I have hydrangea underplanted with box balls, crocosmia, foxgloves, lupins and salvia.
As for the rear garden, sunshine, blue skies and a garden full of bees thanks to the geraniums, scabius and foxgloves. I was going to Chelsea chop the geraniums but due to the number of bees I don't know if I have the heart to to do it?
Jason If you mean the Johnson's Blue, beware as it does spread. My Mum is constantly digging hers out but it always comes back. I t flowers for a short time but if you chop it off, it will regrow and may have a few more flowers. The pink one just keeps flowering. If it gets to straggly, chop it off too.
Lead Farmer Nice to see a paved front garden that looks good too.
I always cut back geraniums after flowering to get a second flush. If you have lots, you could probably do a chop earlier in the year ( ie Chelsea time) and that would stagger the flowering too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I'm about half way through making changes to the top half of the garden and this is how it stands at the minute.
It started off like this ( think I've posted this shot before )
and now looks like this
I still have a way to go, but it's getting there.
Sheps...
Sheps, you will soon have plenty colour on the fencing when all your climbers flower
