I think next year I will stick to the same tulip in all the pots. Then they will all flower at the same time. Plus I will buy a couple more large pots to use instead of the small ones.Hopefully it will give more impact.
Fritillary - looks like you live in a lovely rural area - the tulips look nice, but I agree that for more impact having all the same colour does really help them to stand out. Thanks Runnybeak, yes our front garden is very colourful at this time of year - it is almost everygreen & mostly flowers in the Spring. The lawn dries out in the summer so doesn't look too good then.
Another view of the disappearing pine tree, 4 camellia bushes all in flower at the moment.

Some tulips I had from Parkers as a freeby. Short stems though. They look like they are drowning in a sea of forgetmenots.
sorry bit of a tilt on.
fidget, is that a phormium peeking around the corner?
Photo from front veranda this afternoon - poplars, poplars everywhere along the river.
No David, it's a variegated yucca. Nasty pointed ends so is at the back of the border.
There is a phormium in the second tulip photo, to the right of the eucalyptus, still recovering from the freeze a few years ago.
