  • Beautiful displays Victoria - all looks so natural, rustic & colourful. What are the purple plants in 2nd picture - they are striking, my daughter loves the colour purple so would like a tub of them I am sure.

  • Thanks GD, what a nice thing to sayimage

The purple plant is just a drumstick primula. I'm trying to grow some more colours from seed but no showing as yet...

Sheps you have made an amazing transformation image I would be so excited to plant it up.  You say you won't be planting till June and I like your choices already made but would really think about some evergreen and colour for each season too image

oh Victoria sponge your garden is looking so lovely and so much colour already.  I especially love your brick path and stumpery, really really pretty image

  • Thanks BM, that's kind of youimage

Very much looking forward to the season ahead and seeing all my old plants again, plus some shiny new onesimage

Off to bed now, w*rk in the morning...had too much fresh airimageimage

Nice primula Victoria very striking. I grown some primula drumstick last year from seed, I am sure I put the seeds in the fridge for a few days to aid germination. I got about 7 plants but I keep forgetting about them until they have almost dried out image

Thanks for the kind words everyone, pleased you like it image

I must admit, it is really frustrating having to wait until June before I can plant it up, but a short break in Norfolk at the end of May means I wouldn't be able to keep on top of the watering if I planted sooner image

I was looking at a evergreen Clematis ( Avalanche ) for one of the pots, so that might be the way to go.

I will post more shots once I have planted up and will hopefully get 5 months of colour before the summer ends.

Beautiful pictures and flowers, Victoria image

    Lovely VS & B-L!

I think they are Iberis sempervirens (perennial candytuft) and aubretia chicky. image

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • The orange flower is beautiful - I think it is a Geum but what is it's name please Busy Lizzie?
