Guernsey, it's fairly new, but patented so I'm not sure how widely available. It's from L.E. Cooke in NZ.
It looks as though spring is coming to Britain. Bob, I like it when the garden expands to fill the space available. We seem to be on the edge of summer-26C today, but then predicted to be 16 by Sat. Though the weathers changeable my virtue never varies.
Lovely flowers David - is that Geum in flower now? I have the Mrs. J. Bradshaw which is a vivid red but doesn't flower until May/June. The mango is such a delicate coloured flower.
Geum rivale -most of the ones in commerce are rivale-blooms early or as Winter says all year in a mild winter. But because they are evergreen a hard winter can knock them down.
Geum quellyon-blazing sunset, bloody mary, double bloody mary-blooms about a month later and is much flashier.
When I moved into this house 30 yrs. ago, I planted tulip battalini, they bloomed the following year and then never again. Just noticed flowers getting ready to open. Same location, 30 yrs. later, plants are amazing.

Love that second one David - rich and velvety
A few from my garden this evening - Thalia and creamy tulips behind the buds of a new tulip Ronaldo (plummy purple) which will hopefully appear soon
Clematis Constance opening her little bell shaped flowers
and the emerging Pulsatilla next to her in the same colour
it makes up for the unattractive scene if I look the other way.....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
