Thank you Verd. It's like me then  image

I must have managed to catch a rare bit of sun to have the shade/light effect...image

More shrubs will go in on the right hand end for screening.

The buddleia was really to create some privacy initially. I cut the front back hard and leave the 'tops' a bit longer to get a denser canopy above the boundary fence. It's great colour once it's all flowering. Other end of the garden has Etoile Violette on the fence so the colour's mirrored just now. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I wish they sold Laurentias, or even the seeds, in France.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

BL, I love the old stonework and the relaxed look of your garden.

Lizzie -  Thompson and Morgan do laurentia seeds (its called isotoma too) - maybe you could get some delivered to your Norfolk cottage in time to sow next year?  Its one of my favourite (deer proofimage) summer annuals, and it always performs well here.
