1runnybeak1... If I remember I had it in a multi purpose compost with a little grit and sand and on a patio that had sun most the day but I don't think a put enough grit and sand in, plus I watered it with grow more liquid feed which I don't think it liked... The 'soil' in my raised bed is literally a mixture of old compost from potted plants that died, lots of hardcore stones and literally muck swept up off my path! I made the raised bed to grow herbs in as it gets baked most of the day ( around 8 hours of sun) and they seem to do quite well there. Ive only watered it twice this year with no feed and let the rain do the rest... I took the picture as it was going dark as the flowers are fully opened then... I really hope it takes for you as you'll love the smell wafting through the air and it's even better on a still, humid night!

I told you it was a bucket of stones. image

Plants don't listen. I was reading today about growing turks cap lillies because I found some down the garden. They are in waterlogged soil in full shade under trees behind nettles and they are 8 feet tall if they're an inch!!!
