Thanks PP, Fairy, Joyceimage.  Pop round any time PPimage

Vic - the verbascum is two plants, but does really well.  I have accidentally gained two more by unintentional root cuttings (moved them, and obviously left some behindimage) but I'm not complainingimage.  Love your foxtail lilies - they are huge image

Your walls are looking gorgeous LilyP - clothed or unclothedimage

Is that Cirsium  rivulare in your allium pic Vic? I found it seeded like mad when I had it image

Forgot that I took a couple of pix today - when it wasn't raining...image

Lily 'Blackout' (?) just starting to flower. It will go in the new border along the back of the 'stension. It's a helluva height this year too. Very tropical!   image

    Gorgeous isn't it LF?

LP has worked very hard to get it looking so good.  The vagaries of our weather don't make it any easier either! image

Runny, the box is gradually being replanted with the ( hopefully) resistant one we are 1 /16 th of the way!

I get great inspiration from this thread, image

This is our front garden, when we moved here it was just lawn with 3 trees round the side of the house and a big conifer right by the front window. The one tree round the side was a big maple which we had to cut down because of the conservatory, which was there when we moved in.The other 2 had to be cut down a lot later because they were dying.

Sorry LP - didn't see your query.

No - it's just a standard one. It was languishing somewhere a couple of years ago for a couple of quid, and it was more purple than that in the pic on the packet. I thought it was unlikely to be purple, but for the money, it wasn't a big deal. It looked good with some nasturtiums I had that colour, along with  a Canna and grasses. image

Lily P, I've just read your profile, having admired your gorgeous garden pictures.  Do you have help with your 4 acres?  If not, you must be gardening morning, noon and night...  image

Logan that's beautiful. A lovely alternative to flat green and a boundary without being too stark. image
