Fine weather again today so should get some tidying up done and start planting the perennials that are sitting looking glum in their pots begging me to give them  permanent home.

Good morning Marion, lovely sunny weather here to, so I've got plenty to do in the garden today.

yesterday I replanted my 72 ground covering plants which where on sale at Thompson and Morgan, I have planted them all in my trays and gave them a good watering, I've forgotten there names but will send them later as I have them written down somewhere, my lawn needs cutting, shrubs need trimming so I think my bin may get a good filling to image, have a lovely day today Marion, I will catch up later.

In my garden this brilliant Bank Holiday Monday.  Sounds like you are as busy as I am Flumpy.  Good luck with your ground cover plants.  I have done an hour'imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimages watering as no rain forecast for this week and taken some pictures.

My sons uncovered this flowerbed at the weekend when they raised the canopy of the hawthorn tree which was spiking me as i tried to work near it.  Here are the pictures before i started work this morning ad after.  I have some small daffs bulbs coming which will go in there nicely and in imageJanuary will plant some snowdrops in the green from further up the garden.imageThe pictures are the wrong way round - after then before instead of before and then after!

Awe that's lovely Marion, see all the Ivy has gone too, I look forward to seeing this in spring, I bet it will look lovely Marion.

i started gardening at 10.30 this am and didn't stop until 4.30, I'm aching now but the garden looks good now, the only thing I need to do is trim my shrub, I think I may need my small step ladders to reach the top image

I like the position of the gate Marion leading the eye through to the next area.

Well done Flumpy.  A hot bath is best for aching limbs.  Joyce that is not a gate but a wrought iron window. All will be revealed later as I tackle a bit more of the terrace.  Great gardening weather today.

Another fine sunny day so will tackle a bit more of the terrace. There are so many mountains of prunings and ivy waiting to be taken away another one will not make any difference!  watering in the front garden will have to be seen to first though.  Have a good day everyone.

I was so delighted at what has survived in my garden after the ravages of my "helpers" I had to take their photos.  mental note to myself to buy or propagate more cyclamen, arm lilies, ferns.

I rescued the furthest corner of the terrace today.  the window in the wall to next door was completely blocked out by a grapevine and ivy!image
