Morning Marion & GWRS , it's raining cats and dogs here too, I put my lawn food down yesterday as I knew rain was forecast so my garden should be puring too , my brother is coming to dinner later as it was his birthday yesterday
Rain stopped and sun out so filled up the green wheelie bin which has just been emptied. When the wind has dried the two mountains of prunings still to do I will fill up my containers again with them chopped up small. We had some heavy showers when i would normally have a duckpond outside the kitchen but my daughter did some maintenance cleaning on the drain to the soakaway in the garden and there was not even a puddle!
Hey what are daughters for (only joking), it's still raining very heavy here, I think it's in for the day, my brother has just left so I've now just wrapped my hubbies present as its his birthday on Monday. At least the garden is getting a good feed
We had a yellow warning for heavy rain and high winds starting in the wee hours but they have not materialised yet. I have been out deadheading and it is fine , dry and sunny with hardly a breeze! Must be the lull before the storm. Tomorrow is supposed to be a better day but today suitsme fine at the moment. Hope those who do have high winds escape without damage.
Morning Marion, I think we got the heavy rain and wind because everything is drenched and some petals on the floor, it's just starting to rain again, I've seen that next weekend is meant to be nice and its bank holiday whoopee!
Still waiting for the rain and wind here in Bristol, Flumpy. I went into the conservatory to pick a bowl of tomatoes and found my young fuchsias have huge flowers on them! i am going to have fun training those plants this winter.

the wind and rain is really battering my sweet peas, I managed to sneak out and take some cutting
