Feel so sorry for all involved (including the farmer) and poor Shadow going from pillar to post (male dogs do that anyway). I'm imagining it was my dog in this situation but I don't think I could possibly have done as well as DD in finding a place.
Everything is moving very fast, but is also changing by the minute too. The man here in France can't take him until November so we are looking at foster home between now and then if that is at all possible. Still lots of offers and ideas being floated about, fingers crossed.

As you can see from my i.d. pic I'm on your team. I'm useless to you in this instance but believe me when I tell you that angels come. I think the response you've had on here is a perfect example of that. love and kisses and all the moral support we can muster from me (and my many and varied rescue dogs!) one of which just licked my hand as I typed that...truly!!!
