Lol the ever decreasing lawn Lorna, who needs grass anyway x
Hope you find someone to swap with Pat if only you lived nearer, I spent yesterday splitting and washing roots of daylilies to swap with a friend on another site who collects bearded iris so I'm getting a nice collection of them too, can't wait for next year,
Aaaaw thanks Lorna, space is becoming a real issue I have to learn to say no more!! lol, won't happen will it.
There are some great edges Pat a friend posted a picture of a great one last night called Golden Tentacles never seen such a huge fancy edge, I must stop looking no room for any more .
Polymerous flowers today, daylilies are made up of 3 petals and 3 sepals (except doubles of course) and occasionally you'll get the odd flower that has more, love it when these oddities pop up, some are more prone to them than others, and now there are dayliles being bred that have very high percentages of polymerous flowers,
Black Eye
Destined to See
Free Wheelin, this is one that does have a lot of flowers like this
Longstocking, now this looks like a spider!! only flower this ones ever had like this still trying to decide if its actually two fused flowers but can only see 1 pistil.
Kathy with gardeners I think it is hard to say no to more plants, I know I find it really hard, my husband always says where are you going to put that there's no room, silly man does he not know gardeners always find room .
Love all the photo's but I really like Longstocking, Planet Max, Starmans Quest, I have to agree with Pat it sound like the breeders have a good sense of humour, the names are brilliant.xx
There are some amazing names, I often wonder how they come up with some of them, my friend has just registered his first 'Implosive Explosive' the throat reminds me of a firework exploding very lovely and he's sending me a piece
Mine says just the same Lorna, we've been altering the shape of a border and I have space to fill, Harrogate Autumn Show next week so I'll be looking for something new got loads of seeds to sow too

I love the imaginative names. It sounds as though the daylilles breeders have a good sense of humour .
