I've been clearing all the dead foliage and flower scapes today 5 barrow loads and only about a quarter done looking better though, filled two black dalek bins.

Edge of Darkness, really love this one but unfortunately so do the gall midge and every year I barely see a flower, luckily it usually reblooms for me later in the season when the gall midge season is over.

Sorry I can't help - I'm pretty basic with this sort of stuff. Maybe someone else can give you advice. Sometimes, I don't get a reminder when a new message has come up and I just have to check the various threads I like to follow, to see if there's been any new posts. It's all above my head.image

Alan. as far as I know , you don't need to " subscribe to this thread" . Just click on it on the " most recent" list.

    Maybe I'm missing something.

  • I sometimes add a reply to a thread just so it appears in my followed threads list ( although soesnt always appear).  Is that what you're doing, Alan?
