Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that they would like to see more growers.
I totally agree but was pleased to see Billy from Binnyplants (Edinburgh) talking about his wonderful peonies. Mine all came from him and they just get better very year. The one time I had a problem he was most helpful with sound advice that worked. Service!

lm on shift at the mo so have watched tonight when I got home on I player. I will watch every programme, love the celebrities, the behind the scenes, the gardens, the marquees, montys old coat, Nikki Chapman, the news reader girl, it's magic and love every minute
Have spent a happy evening watching all the Chelsea coverage so far but being distracted by trivia and bad suits. 15 large gardens and we've seen about 3 in any detail and some not at all. Not a lot of the fresh or artisan gardens either yet.
James Wong's suit is hideously staid and boring and who let that rugby player out in floral lime green? I hope tehy're wool and can be composted.
Time to put celeb worship on the compost heap too. Let the nurserymen and women and designers have the spotlight this week.

Get rid of the celebrities, most of them interviewed expressed a lack of interest in gardening SO GIVE YOUR SPACE AND TICKET TO SOMEONE WHO IS
I really loved Dan Pearson's garden and want best in show for him, such a lovely guy and so so talented
I don't actually mind if we don't see the ins and outs of all gardens, that's the special extra for all those who bought tickets, I'm happy to see whatever I see but I wonder if airtime is bought by the sponsors because some gardens seem to get so much more than others
OH says the problem with James Wong's suit is that he's wearing the wrong shirt - the collar is all wrong - it sits too high and is too wide and it argues with the lines of the jacket. He says it would look fine with the right shirt. OH is very good at these things.
I must say I dislike those cut-away shirt collars - I can't believe that a 'gentleman' would ever wear one
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Maybe a change of shirt style would help but the plain grey is so dull and the jacket is short and dull and........
Anyway, I like Dan Pearson's garden. I love Chris Beardshaw's. Still thinking about the Mondrian garden which seems a bit mean with the colours.
I do not like plain rectangular water features with gravel at the bottom and no plants. Love the swimming pond but not all the decking with it.
Peony man was great and so were the cactus couple - though I wouldn't ever grow any myself. Nasty spiky things and I wouldn't want a garden with just a polytunnel no matter how passionate I was about the plants that need it.
Seems to be a lot of repetition in the coverage which seems to indicate a lack of imagination and garden comprehension on the part of the production teams.

Chelsea looks amazing on TV, not like when I visited at all. As my name is Ann and my daughter is called Zara Phillips, I think I should have got special treatment, and been let in at 5 am with Monty! Yes, not interested in the "celebs", but would like to know names of plants. You see something you really like, but there must be a way to get info on the gardens.

To be honest I thought James Wongs umbrella to be the best designed thing on show thus far
Dan Pearson's plot is just mind blowing.
Monty looks wind swept
The presenters are utterly gorgeous.
( not Joe , though

re " the flowery suit" I'd bet he's been photographed more than most = publicity for his nursery.
Good marketing move I'd say.
Unspeakably ugly though it is.
