I agree with Hosta - show gardens at Chelsea are better, but HC is a much nicer day out - far more room to move, and practically no corporate socialites braying loudlyimage.  Mr Chicky comes with me to HC and really enjoys it ....the crowds and the folks at Chelsea would drive him wildimage.  I like both .....but I am happy to filter out the annoyancesimage

Love Chelsea, but the crowds and the Hooray Henry's do make me want a gun.

You and me both doc. I felt like that yesterday in the car park at Arrochar but fortunately I was taking a different route from most and only had to suffer the hordes on the first bit of the path....b****y Bank Holidays image

It's why I can't 'do' any of these garden shows...or shopping centres either

'braying' chicky - very apt!   image

Where did you go in Arrochar Fg?

I think the Cobbler is a great hill, used to stay on Loch Fynne and often walked in Arrochar.

Most of the hordes were heading to the Cobbler - It's a terrific hill. I was up there a few weeks ago - still lots of snow on it as we've had a lot recently even on the southern Munros.   Yesterday I did Narnain over the spearhead and up the ridge to the summit then across the ridge to A' Chrois as I've always wanted to do that. Just getting my hill legs fit so that I can get to my Munro 'century'. Determined to do that this year.  Got some nice pix although there was quite a bit of cloud so a little hazy. Brilliant day though. image
