Just another though - I'll probably not catch the Chelsea programmes in real time , which programmes will you be watching and which would you recommend I record?

Never mind the RHS members going in at the crack of dawn Valerie - make the celebs get up before lunchtime and go in then...image

I'd agree with Scott - I'd like to see a little more chat with the designers but I also agree with every word Hosta said initially - too much coverage on a minority of gardens and zilch about lots of others. Money talks as Scott rightly says  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

If you arrive early and especially if  its raining TBF it does take a few hours to fill out... Going in style this time tomorrow via the Norther Belle so hopefully a few glasses of breakfast champers will blurr the crowdsimage

    Watched yesterday's prog last night.

Can anyone tell me what was added by having " celebs" on it? Lovely people and great actors, but they mentioned they had a gardener: I'd have rather had his opinion.

Let's wait and see how it pans out over the week.

Having " celebs " helps promote gardening to a wider audience which can't be a bad thing

blooming cold today , just put heating back plus " hissing " it down in Lincoln , might light  a fire later to watch Chelsea

on a positive note the garden/allottment really needed itimage

why have they got a news presenter as the main Chelsea presenter? are there not enough gardening presenters? or are they all doing gardens at the show?

also I'd love to see more coverage of the unusual plants - the ones that gardeners world doesn't usually cover -  cacti, succulents, orchids (hardy ones if they could), carnivorous plants and everything else weird and wonderful, as nice as cottage garden plants are, we get enough of them weekly. could they not do a section on the red button for the weird and wonderful??

I see Monty found his coat in the 'BOOT' of his car where he threw it on the last day of last seasons Chelsea show !!!!

NO I Like Monty just wish there was a Corby Press in his hotel room

  • I'd like to see more specs-in-hairdo Prima Donnas being specs-in-hairdo Prima Donnas. Lots of shouting at 'the help'.

    Theatre.

    Back stories.

    Theatre.

I'd like to know what celebrities who don't garden think of the gardens.

The sitting rooms and lavatories of the other growers not just the cacti growers. If they have any notable hobbies eg stamp collecting that would be awesome to see too.

    Sartorial commentary.

    Theatre.

More close up footage of the presenters speaking, they keep interrupting it with closeups of the plants and planting combinations with annotations of the varieties.

Could they turn up the music as well, it's not drowning out the speech.
