I like Monty's casual style. Some people just can't do suits and ties. Wouldn't look right ... wouldn't be comfortable ... wouldn't be themselves. I'm referencing my own OH here! And it wouldn't make any difference if OH had to meet royalty ... Oops, better not go there again ... Verdun, where are you!
Must say, I've been really interested in the features about gardening for physical and mental health. Just confirms what we gardeners have been saying for decades about the benefits of growing veggies and flowers.
One programme at Chelsea showed Monty wearing a suit and buttonhole but he didn't sound any different and his warm personality still showed through. Carole had a different hairstyle and wore a posh frock but she still smiled and waved her arms about.
Thanks Hosta it's going on my bucket list as we speak (I bet it's cost will be prohibitive for a few years anyway)
Ref Monty togs I'm sure most of us look crumpled after during and possibly before gardening we just don't look in mirrors or have our picture taken I'm speaking personally of course

Is Rachel pregnant again?

Carol and Ann-Marie were well overdone. Women of a certain age should go easy on the face paint, it's just wrong to slap it on.
Monty can wear what he damn well pleases, Queen or no queen present, he's being himself which has always been utilitarian in style.
Mr Wong you're not wrong. I didn't notice his collar or suit and I didn't care either.
I'm not the least bit interested in clothes, it's the gardens, plants and commentary that I tune in for.
Actually, I didn't even notice that Monty was crumpled. I think he's dead cool. Don't ever change, Monty! Well your clothes, now and again perhaps ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Very true Verdun.
