Just remember guys we are due a Bank Holiday soon - and not only am I working all bank holiday BUT I'll also be camping (i.e. fields) AND in an inflatable smoke house (i.e. a GIT to pack away when wet). That's got to be worth a small monsoon?

It's been a very dry month in the West Midlands.  Have been promised rain tomorrow evening. Water butt very low, just keeping it for lime haters.

Well, the rain finally turned-up last night at 9pm but there was barely enough to dampen the pavement - just 0.3mm according to my weather station!   Plenty forecast for the next two weeks though but will have to get the hose out to some things this evening as they are wilting.

Yay!  10mm of much needed rain overnight here in Leics.  Heavy showers today - just got pretty wet travelling from GH to potting shed (have enough potting-on to keep me busy until it gets dark.)  The potatoes will love it at this critical stage in their development. image

Great day for the garden/allotment  as good dose of rain overnight and this morning.  Now sun is shining and quite warm and muggy.
