I've watered with the hose as well and am keeping the little bit of water left in my water butts for the plants that need rainwater. The rain forecast seems to keep slipping further away. I expect it will arrive by next week thought as it looks as if my landscaping contractors will finish in my vegetable garden area by then and I'll want to be out there catching up with all the things I haven't been able to do so it's bound to rain non-stop!
Very dry in Bristol and no rain of consequence forecast till next Tuesday. One of my five waterbutts sprang a leak and is empty, another has been used to water new plantings so going easy with the other three.
As long as it doesn't rain in the next few hours while I'm cutting the hedge (took a day's leave to do that!), I don't mind a deluge later! I *hate* cutting this privet hedge which I inherited when I moved here. Must get rid and plant something more wildlife friendly like Hawthorn although I've been saying that for 30 years!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

No housework days
In the sticks near Peterborough
Mine too! I rely on rain days for cleaning up and cooking proper food! Lived on pizzas for weeks...
South East Wales, no significant rainfall for at least a month. Been watering the garden copiously, never had to do that in April before.
Some due today though

Glorious sunshine this morning in Manchester, rain is forecast for weekend though.
Have been watering all my pots which are currently in the front garden due to work in the back daily, has been hot and dry all week.
Honestly, I can't remember the last rainfall.
Losing my marbles maybe?
Doogie, 2012 was our first summer in Devon.
We moved from very dry Hants and I remember thinking OMG what have I done? Is it always this wet?
Mercifully not and I'm never moving again.
It would give everything in my garden such a boost if it was to chuck it down - got 2 full butts left but one is the emergency butt (dodgy tap)
I had to top the pond up to the min level point today; starlings keep wasting it with mass bathing
