It's been dry up here in Dundee too. Had to water garden every other day. Just had to give it an extra thick mulch to try and keep some of the moisture in. Doesn't help the sloped beds much either, it's all going to wash away!
Not forecast till Sunday now Will have to get the pump going on dust dry beds before mulching. overnight rain would be wonderful has anyone got influence
had to water my garden with a hose last night, both my main water butts are dry, I have two small ones but I'd rather not use them as they water my carnivorous plants and get used for topping up my pond,
all i'd need is a couple of hours of decent rain and the butts would fill up nicely but it feels like we haven't had decent rain here on Teesside for weeks now!
According to the forecast on this site for West Devon, rain is forecast from today right through all next week, lightening flashes showing for tomorrow! Much cooler today, Once it starts it doesnt know when to stop though.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Yes - it's been dry here in the South West too. Forecast rain for Sat & Sunday, annoyingly the new water butts I've ordered aren't due for delivery until Tueday though.
Hate to say this out loud but it's reminding me of 2012 - I went on holiday at this time of year - it started tor rain when I left - and didn't stop raiining until about October
