Thank you all for your lovely comments, we try and keep it up together as we open for The National Garden Scheme over 200 people last year on the open day, madness.

thanks winter-and get some rest. thanks rb, i neglected the iris for years and now that i'm getting them back in order the names are long gone. the weather this year has been beyond perfection and the garden is a model of vegetable exuberance. i sometimes think there's too much going on and then i add something else.
It's 26th July 1.30 to 5pm and by appointment May to September for gardening groups, this really focuses the mind, all the money going to the charities which makes the hard work worth it.
