The contorted Hazel is in a round 6 foot built container, it only gets fed twice a year with pelleted chicken manure, I usually do this just before I know it's going to rain otherwise the garden smells , then a layer of bark mulch on top to keep the moisture in. Planted in full sun, they are very slow growing for a tree. The catkins this year have been exceptional 5" long. Hope this helps.
Ha ha Mrs garden, yes I'm OL, I've updated my info now in case anyone has a nosey with me being a 'newbie' again!! I didn't tnk anyone remembered my first name BL
The hellebore top left was a gift I successfully divided and I have 2 of the bottom one (harvington) which were £2 each at the end of last summer. The yellow primrose was one of the only bedding plants (not herbaceous) which was here when we moved in, I've made about 9 plants out of it now.
Mixed hedge of Hazel, Dog Rose and Blackthorn waiting to go in. The ones potted up are a few leftover Rowan from a community planting we had done the previous weekend in Dundee.

I went out this morning to take photos of whatever was in flower, it's now 6pm. It's been such a warm sunny day here that I just carried on gardening.
I don't have any pretty Hellebores only the stinking one, I think that's the name.
