This is the lily Verd - 'Blackout' in flower last year. 2nd pic is the nasturtium that replaced it, with Canna and grasses etc behind. I think I moved the dark Phormium (Blackadder) there later but I don't have a pic. There are a few purple leaves of a Ligularia just peekingout behind the Canna too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
DD - the lilies are stunning, and that last pic of the clematis scrambling through the rose makes my heart soar. Well done...feel very proud, even as an onlooker
Smashing pix BL - thanks for sharing. Hope DD had plenty of cake to keep her going
Verd - I bought those lilies as a bargain in Homebase last spring - about 75p (I think) for three slightly dried out bulbs. They flowered perfectly well and are ready to go again now.

Thanks BL
DD's garden looks gorgeous - lovely lilies, and as Chicky says, that rose/clematis combination is to die for
I hope she had a lovely day and is able to put her feet up for a little while today and feel very pleased with herself
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
