Did a couple of hours this pm. First time for a few weeks and it's a mess after all the wind and rain we had last week! Deadheaded pansies/violas, planted 2 tubs of tulips, cleared space ready for bean trench and swept up some leaves.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!!! Just been out and raked the last of the leaves into a heap ready to bag up, moved the chicken wire that's protecting the broad bean seedlings from the depredations of any visiting cats, and stood out there for a few minutes, freezing, while I pondered on the forthcoming rearrangement of the 'utility area' now the poorly ash tree has gone.
More hot coffee needed
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Yesterday I planted two bags of Alliums in the borders and six bags of Tulips in pots, finally!
Two smaller pots with 10 purple each and two big pots with 20 orange each. Might have odd numbered tulips in the big pots though as I was surprised I had thirty something for the second pot
