I mowed most of the meadow, a small area needs the Allen scythe (tomorrow). Now, when the leaves fall, I can admire the carpets of yellow beneath the trees. This assuming they fall in calm weather rather than the howling gale that deposits them all in one of the ponds.
Dug up a poor buddleia with a view to widening a path. Realised why poor doer, roots hadn't broken out from the pot-bound specimen I planted years ago.
I divided lots of perennials to give to friends (phlomis, lysimachia, phlox etc) and moved bedding planters from front door and authorised it. First time of making a wreath...I'm well pleased with it
Got a couple of scratches but not too bad. It was only 3 pieces of pyracantha so didn't have to handle it a lot. Trouble is my 3 sisters want one each now
