Someone posted about lack of 3in pots. ...been in Aldi recently and thier garden selection is amazing. Bough two 20Kg bags of very fine potting compost for ??1.40 each. A real bargain.

Gosh you've all been busy while I've been ill. About 5 pages since I last did anything. Daughters and grandchildren have gone this morning, feel weak as a kitten, but looking forward to getting going again. Garden is very wet, but sun is due soon.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Yes I have image sweet peppers " California wonder" and "Corno di Toro Rosso" sown and in heated propagator along with tennis ball sized patio aubergines "Ophelia" 3 different chillies will soak overnight in cold tea and join them tomorrow.

  • Been out in the garden all day..its cold but bright here in South Wales.  Finished all the pruning today, roses, grasses, honeysuckle, clematis all the normal stuff for this time of year. Greenhouse is overflowing, had to order some more staging today as my windowsills are also full. Sweet peas and geraniums are looking fab. The hubby has been finishing the second pond. He looked frozen stood in shorts in the water.....

Still don't know wet her to put my sea holly seedings back in the fridge as the packet states. Anybody know if I should. Loads have germinated

I made hay while the sun shone. Raked out Stipa gigantea, I tried to upload a pic but got an error message I'd never seen before. Dried grass everywhere.image
