I leave some dried grass from my clearing up on my bird table and balls of dog hair. It was a nice day so they also had a brush. The birds love it for the nests. I cleaned by bird houses out at Xmas and they had lovely furry nests!
Its been raining here most of the day, but I been in the GH sowing all sorts mostly annuals. I have to finish the others off tomorrow including the tomatoes.
I cant believe Verdun got round to mowing the lawn already, I often wonder if you do live in the UK

part of my landscaping endeavours
Cut suckers off Contorted Hazel,
Planted 6 hostas, 2 heucherellas, 1 tiarella, 2 philadelphus and 1 thalictrum.
Also dug up, trimmed and potted 2 box trees.
I love those gardening day when it all comes together so well
Day off to-day. Planted 25 trees in garden for National Tree week. Do like to plant a few each year as I burn a bit in the stove.
Dug for early spuds which are chitting nicely upstairs.
Cleared away some unused parsnips to compost bin.
Added homemade compost to one rhubarb crown that the birds took a shining to.
A nice easy day in the garden, dry and cool.
Still don't know what to do with my sea holly seedlings.. do I fridge them or not?.
