Moved a phlox and a penstemon in to a space that used to be a path, moved my red astilbe out the bog and next to my poplar stump display, planted a ligularia next to it, bit of a gamble for both, not sure how well they'll do. Ran out of room for a hosta on my wish list, still want it so will have to do some pondering...
Staked the new raspberry canes, they look very smart and did a small amount of tidying before deciding I needed to dry off and warm up.
Brightened up a little while ago, so moved some kniphofias in the way of a brick path I'm trying to make, hope they'll be okay as still flowering
Very satisfying day, lots of things crossed off the list and a new list made for tomoz
Thanks Beaus Mum Bit of a work in progress to be honest, the straight path is herringbone but still figuring out how to change direction Laying it all out on the ground first to see if I like it...
Not much outside today rained most of the day but ventured to the GC to get a shrub I fancied physocarpus diablo , I sneak in a couple extra fritillaria as well .
Potted on a 10 delphiniums into bigger pots just waiting for the other 15 to grow a bit more, I have no idea where I am going to plant them though but you can never have to many delphiniums Potted on other various perennials for planting out in spring. Winter pansys are well on there way so repotted some of them just another 100 or so to go.
I dreamed of gardening while on the train to work, at my desk, throughout two meetings and a conference call and then all the way home ..... only for it to be too dark! Did manage to watch Beechgrove on my phone though! Same again today I expect, but then working from home tomorrow!
Luckily on Saturday the weather was nice so I mowed the lawn, did all the edges, pulled out all the summer annuals that had gone over and planted lots of evergreen perennials in the gaps.
Also took down the tired summer hanging baskets and put new ones up and put up new compost bin.
We are now ready for winter and just as well as it has rained hard for the last two days.

Done any gardening today? In a word NO! I can hardly bear to wait until I can get back to it. It's good to read what you have all been up to,though.

All I've done is move pots of plants in and out of sheltered places as the temperature changes.
