Emptied one of the compost bins onto my garlic bed (they were looking rather sorry for themselves with this dry weather) digging in blood and bone to give them a boost. Then did the same for the lavender bed; its safe to say that this will be the last year for at least half of the plants: more wood than green.
Lots of weeding: now having to lay down and rest my back to try and balance out the spine. Still so much to do!
Planted a hosta in raised bed, tied climbing rose into arch to stop OH complaining about a little scalping every time he walks under it, got the folding ladder out to spray foliage for blackspot (if I die of chemical consumption, I leave all my worldly possessions to the dog ) then had to rearrange shed to get the ladder back in
Tomorrow I'm out to lunch with parents and a visit to GC woot
Not done any proper gardening today. Yesterday very hard frost, its killed everyone magnolia flowers along with lots of other flowering plants, my dicentra not looking to good.
Done most of my gardening work over the past week on the lawn. I even treated myself and bought another Lawn mower .
Got a new border to plant up soon, I am glad I didn't plant up earlier frost would of had some of them. Hopefully tomorrow I will get chance to go to the GC and get some more plants, I got tree lupins on my mind for some unknown reason
Tried to clear some of the seedlings from the conservatory today to make room for the wall troughs that are planted up in the GH like sardines while the chairman was mowing the grass I utilised an old soaking box that had developed holes into a salad box planted up lettuce plants andsowed a row of radishes looks good even if I say it myself covered it with a plastic cloche cos the wind is cold. Then off to Nanny duties and had to check on daughters four legged boy he has a cough it's like he has something in his throat but he ate a digestive so if he's not over it by tomorrow he might have to see the vet
Going to sort out wildflower patch tomorrow making it a bit bigger
Bought a potted apple tree from Morrisons today in sale , will plant in Allottment
Verdun , did you known you are quoted in Mays Gardeners World Magazing in the furom section , use to subscribe but stoped when got Allottment and just buy the odd one
