Cut the grass. Swept 1/3 of the decking. Looked and pondered. Moved some tatty flagstones, making way for another project. That's all today.

Earthed-up the spuds before a possible frost tonight, potted-on several dozen seedlings, split a couple of heucheras and took some cuttings just in case, did some weeding, watered and fed the blueberries hand-pollinated all of the apples and pears as a precaution - not all that many bees around today. image  A Robin was following me all day and so closely that I nearly accidentally put my hand on it when reaching for the trowel by my side! image

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Early start and a bitter wind, but then got really warm when the sun came out. Gorgeous day now

    • pruned Fatzia japonica
    • rescued Clematis from slug damage, potted up to grow on a bit bigger
    • rejigged newly planted borders to remove a clashing colour and add more repetition of existing herbaceous perennials
    • Had a little think about PPPs (possible planting positions) for a couple of shrubs I've got potted up to grow away for a bit before I decide
    • sorting through shed and using OH's old storage carry box for garden bits (its quite big, can get everything in it barring tools)image

I have pushed my forestry flymo over tall cow parsly for over an hour and I can't move now. Still loads of cow parsley but I like to have some, it's pretty. But not an acre of it
