Been pouring down with rain here all day. Got Sunday dinner going, then went to the potting shed and potted on my melons. Also had a Venus Flytrap seed kit, so soaked the tiny seeds over night and carefully sowed them too. Will be fascinating to see if they grow, I could get interested in carnivorous plants. image

I pottered about in the polytunnel, but the wind is so strong  the noise was deafening so I gave up.

I have been at the allotment loads this weekend, and have done absolutely nothing gardening related!

I have been watching my lovely new chickens image I think I could sit for hours just watching them image

Its been very, very rainy the last day or so and today is try and keep yourself upright windy, so a write off in terms of planting image

Our rain has now been replaced with a howling wind, and there was me looking forward to it staying light later this evening so I could be in the garden longer! Stuck indoors making sure all the plant trays are watered, but not much else I can get on with today.

Oooo Fruitcake, Chickens!! What are they like? How long have you had them? Are they easy to keep?

I'd love an allotment. I have images of a cosy shed, and a kettle.....and cake!?!

Weather yesterday was ghastly, wasn't it?  I was doing my casual job at a local garden centre, in the plant area, in the rain wind and cold and was not a happy bunny, really needed to come home to tea and cake!
