Got the wrong date??? special offer on compost is next week so purchased some paving insteadl then the rain started so did baking instead bird's nest cupcakes can that be classed as gardening
Been pouring down with rain here all day. Got Sunday dinner going, then went to the potting shed and potted on my melons. Also had a Venus Flytrap seed kit, so soaked the tiny seeds over night and carefully sowed them too. Will be fascinating to see if they grow, I could get interested in carnivorous plants.
Our rain has now been replaced with a howling wind, and there was me looking forward to it staying light later this evening so I could be in the garden longer! Stuck indoors making sure all the plant trays are watered, but not much else I can get on with today.
Weather yesterday was ghastly, wasn't it? I was doing my casual job at a local garden centre, in the plant area, in the rain wind and cold and was not a happy bunny, really needed to come home to tea and cake!

Oh yes Liriodendron - I think he may have caught the gardening bug

I pottered about in the polytunnel, but the wind is so strong the noise was deafening so I gave up.
Youve got your work cut out there Charlie!
I have been at the allotment loads this weekend, and have done absolutely nothing gardening related!
I have been watching my lovely new chickens
I think I could sit for hours just watching them
Its been very, very rainy the last day or so and today is try and keep yourself upright windy, so a write off in terms of planting

Oooo Fruitcake, Chickens!! What are they like? How long have you had them? Are they easy to keep?
I'd love an allotment. I have images of a cosy shed, and a kettle.....and cake!?!
