Cold but sunny so managed to edge the lawns and tidy up one of the borders, also potted on some primroses. Can someone remind me not to buy any tender plants next year that nead overwintering in the greenhouse have no idea how I'm going to fit them all in.
Been away all week, and indoors so glad to get into the garden today
While I was away a box of perennials and a bare root Rose were delivered which gave me something to do. Snowed overnight but the ground was only a bit crispy on the surface so got them all planted but one.
Dug up the dahlias still in the ground, got one left in a pot. That freed up space for some moving around and also to plant out some bargain basement requisitions from a few weeks back.
In an unexpected flurry of activity I pulled all the miscellaneous wood and pallet pieces out my pot shed and disposed of them down the side of the house along with some breeze blocks piled up on my lawn mud.
Fed the birds again and have done for the day - want to save some stuff for tomoz
Soooooo cold here today. Nearly bought some bulbs as they are selling them off half price at our local garden centre but couldn't be bothered to wait in the long queue. A large tree has blown down in the field behind us. Feels like the first day of properly cold weather here so far this season. Love it - mostly because I love feeling cosy.
Very chilly here today, minus 4 when I fed the birds this morning, but got a few things done in the garden later when it got a bit warmer. Mainly tidying up leaves, clearing dead stuff, and loosening the frozen ground in the borders.
Put up a little insect/butterfly house on the shed and watched the birds enjoying their grub
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I did most yesterday in the rain moving pots into GH and emptying them.
I wanted to move a peony and lift the last of my dahlias and a general tidy up, but it snowed last night about inch but it froze I have already nearly end up on my bum but my silky moves kept me on my feet

NO. It's throwing it down, pools of water all over. Did do a lot of jobs in my Man Cave, with the wood burning stove ticking over nicely.
Firecracker , man cave with a wood burning stove , sounds brill , do you have a bar as well
Still very heavy rain so back in my cave. No bar GWRS I'm afraid
but SWMBO pops across with a coffee in a morning.
Photo taken a few months ago,
it was raining then !!! Being built out of concrete blocks it stays pretty cool inside, hence the wood stove.

Carried some pots into GH so they don't crack. Dunno if that counts
