Hello , spent all day yesterday at allottment

hope everybody has a good dayimage

  • I had a similar thought about the bulbs in pots earlier jo and went out and stabbed a couple of labels in...just in case I couldn't tell the free tulips from my last year ones...

Planted out some more bulbs I acquired, just waiting on pots to free up for the rest. Not buying anymore!

Moved a rose, planted out a couple of my new bargain plants, tied rose veilchenblau to the fence as it was starting to flail around in a crazy manner and did a bit of hand weeding in the front, couldn't hoe as I'd sprinkled seeds about.

That's all I did and it took ages. Must do more tomorrow including the stuff on my list, not just drift about.

    Great-looking tomatoes Bob image

All I've done is my favourite autumn pastime of kicking through thick carpets of leaves image

Good morning in Garden , lots of little jobs done , including cleaning up Iris bed , raking leaves off lawn not that we get that many image

    Raining now

  • Leaps and bounds today (and yesterday combined) and off work still for another 5 daysimage

Done some tedious jobs, refilling small pots with primulas in that had partly emptied, potted on wallflowers and sweet williams, all bulbs planted out but 50 and they are all for one pot, left some tulips sat on the soil overnight and a slug had got right to the centre of oneimage Planted it anyway (flicked the slug out), dug up more dahlias, tidied a bit of my shed, blah, etc..

More excitingly, I found an offer code I'd forgotten about and ordered 2 hollies and a fancy taxus. Then got an offer through on evergreen clems so ordered two of them, one to climb in my big cotoneaster another for the fence behind my wooden bench. Got one more shopping basket still sat on my tablet, still deliberatingimage

Ooh, also found a new home for my mighty blueberry, getting collected tomozimage

  • Started lifting and dividing rhubarb yesterday. Fork handle cracked, day off today. Too much rain last night to do anything to-day.

  • One bed cleared for wintering cauliflower and a lot of pondering what to do as weather not great .

Dug out all of my plants in a flower bed around the front of the house and dug in 300litres of topsoil. Put psome of the plants back in and have put others in a temporary bed ready to donate to mum and other half's mum. Also put some in my gorilla garden. Got beaten by the light otherwise I'd still be out there.

Had a quick soak in the bath and now waiting for tea to cook....and then strictly and Downton!
