Some purple creeping thyme I ordered to put in the craks of my slate path arrived yesterday. I went out to the shed/greenhouse to pot them up. The door wouldn't open. Well Dickens all my tools and WD40 were inside the shed. The key just wouldn't move. I spent a good two hours trying to get in. I finally did it so treated myself to a tunnocks teacake. Potted up my thyme. When I got back to the house the postman had been. I had two lots of plants delivered that I have absolutely no memory of ordering. Went back out and pottered them up. That's enough gardening for one day.
Just back from doctors got wife comfy cup of tea and a cake just off out for half an hour to clear tools away. then it sausage, veg, mash and onion gravy for tea
then settle in ready for Monty and Nigel
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.
My gardening has been minimal today despite the beautiful weather. Pottered a bit this morning, still trying to decide on what clematis should go where. OH came out to help me hang bird boxes and then we measured out the pergola frame against the two existing post holes dug last year.I dug out one fresh one and re did one old one that had all but caved in. Need to re do the other older hole and dig out the fourth by the step next week.
Weekend shifts but weather looks good for next week

Sounds a frustrating day, Lunaria, at least you got in in the end. Nice surprise getting the plants though.
I've done nothing in the garden today. It rained and I took OH out for a late birthday lunch.

Beautiful day here near Hull. Our new garden is very sheltered, so I sat with a glass of wine supervising OH making the borders bigger
