Well, I managed to sew some trays with veggies, such as leek, onions, chillis, brussel sprouts and I even sewn some Delphinium seeds out. Put some parsnip seeds in the ground outside.
Oh, and I planted a hyacinth bulb. Did a shortlist of everything that I need to do this spring, which is actually a long list.
And I am worrying when to cover the soil with plastic sheets and cloches to warm up... The season here is a good 2-4 weeks later than everywhere else. Although it is very warm here at the mo (8C), snow, and I mean thick layers of snow, can still be expected up until the end of April... Dunno what to do...
I attacked the buddleja and it's now gone from over fence height (around 6-7 feet) down to hip level. I do this every year and every year I look at the poor things and think I've done for it this time. But every year, back she comes as lovely as ever. Haven't sown any seeds at all yet but will contemplate that when we return from the South of France in the last week of February - I shall be feeling more mellow then I think!
I did a bit of weeding and cut some old stems of things I thought could hack it if it gets cold again. Moved some daisies into my lawn mud and checked on my mostly labelled outdoor seedlings, everything up except the red wine aconitum and assorted troublemakers in the 'struggle-pot'
Noticed happily that there are buds on my malus Louisa Not amazing normally but I'd transplanted it with difficulty, the hole filled with water while I was digging and instead of staking I weighed it down with slabs. I also planted it backwards to encourage weeping growth on the other side. We'll see
Lifted a cyclamen poked out by an allium and noticed some of my eve prims have rotted, ruining a planting scheme but providing space for a couple of fancy verbascums&
Wine! What a good idea, Lou. I feel I deserve some too, I did a lot of digging today. It was wonderful to be working outside after a long time huddled indoors. I probably won't be able to do much next week - I've just checked the weather forecast. Hmph.

Why isn't the horrid thing hibernating?

Went to a garden centre if that counts. Could so easily get carried away in there.
