Just watched video 2 again, ready to prick mine out and pot on this morning (they've actually got really quite big in the last few days) I really like your videos Simon, they are paced just right for me.
glad your seedlings are doing good and thanks for your kind comments about my videos. I have just started a new mini- series about growing onions. If you haven't already seen it, here is the link
It's very strange, I keep getting notifications saying there's another post on this thread but when I click on the link there's nothing new! Last post on this thread was at 18.56 yesterday according to my page.
I did click on the onions video and it was a bit like me in my own GH! - same pots on the shelf washed with Jeyes fluid - even the little compost tamping block is just like the one I made for myself. My compost tray has a few holes drilled in it for drainage though 'coz I use it to grow a few little gem lettuces later on!!
Strange you say that John because I was thinking along the same lines, I use the same potting compost lidl's own and I have just purchased a potting tray from aldi £4.99 which looks just like the one that Simon is using, the pots I use are smaller though from wilkinsons again washed in diluted jeyes fluid. What a small world eh!
Hi Simon - I'm growing my own tomatoes from seed this year for the first time. I did grow some last year but they were given to me as young plants. Anyway, I have gardener's delight, money maker and tiny tim.
The GD and MM are just coming through now, the TT were only sown today. My question is...I've had them on the kitchen window sill but when should they be put in the greenhouse? I noticed in your second video you potted them on around an inch high? Should I have had them in the GH from the start? Sorry, more than one question!!

Tootles, I agree entirely with John hardings comment above. Spot on john. Tootles you might be lucky for a third year, but the risk is increasing.
john Harding - please let me know how you get on with the varieties you are growing this year as I have not grown some of these.
Thanks John and Simon. I now know what I'll be doing next weekend!
