Just had to take my camera up the garden where the tall perennials like the eupatorium and veronicastrum have joined the phlox and lythrum salicifolium and the platycodon to make such a colourful show.  And the day lilies are all knock out gorgeous.

Sorry about the last one - it does that when it thinks you have put on too many pics.  Last one.

Lovely pictures Marian, sorry if I'm quiet at the moment, we just had a scan at ten weeks only to find no heart beat again, so got to go to hospital tomorrow for the day to bring on my MC : ( sorry to bring bad news x

So sorry, flumpy.  Do take care of you.  Pat, those forsythia twigs should sprout some roots and give you some new bushes.  It has been raining overnight in Bristol and we may have some more today.  I have  a dentist's appointment in the afternoon so will take the oportunity to go to the florists for some fresh seed compost and perhaps treat myself to one of her plants.  Watch this space.

flumpy, I thought I'd sent you a message earlier, so if it comes twice, my apologies.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you at this difficult time.  Do keep in touch when you can, please!

Marion. yes, my thoughts exactly, but not sure I want many more Forsythisa plants.  I suppose I could put them in the hedgerow I'm developing.  It's working out to be a handy place to put spare shrubs.

My forsythia twigs this year took two weeks to open up but they usually only take ten days.
