The Mayor of Bristol had a meeting with people affected by the company delivering the Warm Up Bristol scheme going into administration yesterday and assured everyone their work would be completed soon and they would hear the timetable in the next two weeks and that the scheme would go ahead. The forecast for the next five days at least is same as yesterday which is a relief too.
Good job I have a lift to my talk this afternoon as my kitchen table is covered with recycling - it is a Bristol Club after all. There are Bramleys and Conference pears. Worcester Pearmains and Charles Ross eaters which have never been so sweet and juicy, winter flowering violas in yellow white blue and purple - I am keeping all the brown ones. A huge bunch of autumn flowers for the ladies to share out and a chlorophytum plant as I am going to talk about getting a clean atmosphere free from plastic chemicals indoors using plants. A big bag of my recycled plastic bags for taking booty home. It will cover the speaker's table but i do have a nice picture of Monty Don with the Botanic Garden Shaun the Sheep to show them and a four part speech ready. Must remember to check my watch so as not to overrun my time as I get so enthusiastic once started - a bit like on here really.
Home again and everything I took found a new home. The leader introduced me as their "ray of sunshine" and was thrilled to have more members attending than she had had for a long time. They all said how much they enjoyed my talk. My new plants from the Secret Gardening Club arrived just before I left so now have to pot the Japanese anemones up before it gets dark.
Another beautiful day has dawned in Bristol and after my afternoon off yesterday I am raring to go. I should be able to get some planting done in my perfume garden now I have cleared some more of the ground.

Up my garden in the sunshine today.
I had to come in to do some work on my talk I am giving tomorrow but took some pictures in the front garden where I was working.
I don't expect there are many front gardens with black grapes and Japanese quinces in such quantity.
