There were thousands of bees filling their pollen sacs this mornng im my garden and a tiny(4inches tall) tulip needed the zoom lens so I fitted it and had a ball.

Such a beautiful Easter Monday - wall to wall sunshine and 15degrees.  Perfect for gardening.  My son's partner rang to say she was going to spend her birthday money in a garden centre and would I like to come along next Saturday afternoon so. As I have £50 of garden vouchers from my "Letters" to mags. I jumped at the chance.  No extra petrol used as she is going anyway!  Now to make a list of things that will look good on my Open Day May27th.  Potatoes being planted today in a raised bed, more snowdrops divided and more seeds started off.  Perennials from seed for Mr. Fothergill trials need potting on too.

Good morning Marion. We have sunshine too - at last. I'll be busy in the veggie garden today. OH is going to finish rotovating it.

You are amazing having an Open Day. Hope for me yet! I'm 63 and having my first charity Open Day on 17th May for children with cancer in the new French Open Gardens Scheme.

I hope you have a lovely day on Saturday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thank you, all.  Busy-Lizzie you will love your open day.  Last year it rained for me but I opened the conservatory door and through into my huge lounge and we were able to have our cream teas in there, looking out the conservatory windows at my flower displays.  Many of them loved hearing the rain pitter pattering on the conservatory roof!

Thank you, flumpy1.  I have had messages asking about my camera and how I did it!  My Mr. Fothergills tomato seeds sown on Good Friday have germinated today, Easter Monday!

Oh my goodness, the violets are flowering and adding to the perfume from the hyacinths.  The snowflakes are making up for no snowdrops now.  The blossom on the shrubs and trees is glorious.  There are butterflies everywhere and the tulips are glowing in the sun with their wide open blooms.Lots of deadheading daffodils to do.
