Flumpy - what are you up to this late?  I've been reading the threads (in bed) and have just finished reading my Malmö novel. Your timing was perfect, because I was just starting to go through the library list on my Amazon bit when I got your bell.  You'll laugh, but even though I have read three of those Malmö novels, I still can't remember the authors name so have to start at "A" and whizz through all the authors until I see the right one again.  This is one of the annoying things about ageing.

Have slept very well - no dreams of bikini atoll being blown up, thank goodness.

I peeped out the corner of the curtain and was hit by blinding sunlight and squintingly noted that there is no frost - whoo hoo!  I might get some gardening done today. I've already let the poodle out for her morning "walk" and put more wood on the heater and snuck back under the doona.

He you have a good day. Hubby is still in the land of nod.  You must be at that stage too. Talk to you later.

Got it!  Torquil Macleod is the author' name.  I was beginning to give up.  I even half decided to re-read either one of Bernard Knight's novels or Kerry Greenwood's Australian based novels with the Corrina character (not as keen on her Miss  Fisher character).

Maybe I should get up and do something about breakfast, but he is still asleep and if I get up, he'll wake too.  So much decision making to do - don't know which way to turn.

i know!  I'll actually "plan" my gardening day. It'll be fun to see how much I achieve of my plan.

You know what they say about 'best laid plans'.  Well, a friend across the river called to says she has computer problems, so since hubby seems to be the local guru (instead of getting someone to come out from town), we are going to visit her and also, to see her new cooker that has been installed.  I WAS planning to take a punt and plant some tomato seeds into plug trays and put them in my bottom heat propagator. Der!   There's always a good reason for not getting jobs done around here.

the temp overnight in the GH was 4c, so that's a change from all the minus temps.  We've got full sun, no wind, no clouds and it all looks promising for a good day.

Morning Marion, is it your birthday today?

Happy birthday Marionimage. I hope you have a very good day.

Flumpy, yes the terrorists are getting bad and they are all are over the world.

By punt, I meant a sort of "hopeful risk" because it's really very early in the season to try to germinate tomatoes seeds. Anyway, I did eventually get to it and I've got 8 types in plug trays.  These are all my saved seeds, so we'll see how they go. Some of my tomatoes are ones I've been breeding up for several years - basically a sort of variation on Roma style tomatoes because I like to dry them every year. (They store better dried).

Our neighbour's live on the other side of our river, so by car, about 3km by the time we get to the bridge and then back to their place.

i assume you were talking about radish?  image I grow them as well.

Ladies, it is not till tomorrow, my birthday I mean but TY anyway.  My birthdays do seem to last about a week nowadays what with all the people who are late too!.  Raining in Bristol too as forecast which is good as my water butts were all dry yesterday.  Frumpy lots of people have had trouble growing sweet peas this year so we have done well with ours.  I do hope I spot my pot full on "Love your Garden" show tomorrow evening at 8pm.  I might do some housework today as it is raining and many visitors are imminent.  I would of course rather be gardening.

Sorry Marion, at least I'm not late for your Birthday : ), we've had a mix of sunshine and rain, I wonder if that's what as done the sweet peas good, not too much hot sun.

I'm sorting old clothes in my wardrobe as its getting a bit cluttered, may as well while it's raining ho and I need to find a very big Birthday cake too : )
