flumpy, pinch out the tops now so they bush out and give you lots more flowers. Just nip out between your thumb and the second finger to it. If they were edible peas you could put the tops in your salad but not sweet peas.
Perfect gardening weather flumpy and it is set to last all week too. My potatoes are planted and perennials potted and hundreds of daffodils deadheaded. Washed some more seed trays to get sowing tomorrow.
I have looked out a few flower pkts and will search for some spinach, chard and beetroot to sow outside in one of the raised beds a la Monty Don last Friday.
Spinach is full of iron that will do you good . I forgot to ask you......I've bought the April Gardeners world mag, did you say you are in it? If so what page?
Good to see you're committing to be environmentally aware in your garden. I'm not so sure about the council's commitment though, a friend on another forum lost her allotment due to the council planning a road or park and ride or some such non anti-environmental construction.
I sowed chard (Ruby and Rainbow) today ... in my neighbour's flower bed. They can't look after it, I need more space and it fits in with the rest of the mostly edible ornamental planting.
Frank there were long protests and camping in trees at a site in bristol recently because the council are running a park and ride through. Not one of those people was a plot holder. These "professional" protesters seem to come from nowhere. Sadly, it didn't help
Marion I saw a post on facebook by the Henbury and Brentry news looking for people living in your area to come together to promote green bristol...I will see if I can find it and PM you the details
