This is where we came in as we used to say at the all day cinema in the states! TY twice Bizzie B Yes you cannot beat hardy geraniums. I have great soreads of Johnson's Blue and the pink oxonianum. I got up early too. The lure of my garden is irresistible at the moment and only thirst or hunger gets me into the house. I will take pics when the sun is not so bright. The garden umbrella is going up today to shade the picnic table where i shall be having most of my meals from now on. I must scrub it first as It has been well used recently for potting on. My 22 sunflowers are busting their pots. what shall I do with them. they are a trial for Mr. fothergill's Nation of gardeners called "Titan" and get huge. I could clear the Olympic Ring sites of the weeds that have taken over and put them in there with bamboo stakes.
After a mammoth session repotting aquilegias for Mr. Fothergill I collapsed into my basket chair which is by the back gate and my new fox came through the gateway and trotted past me, inches away. He was not bothered and I had a good look as he trotted up the garden path - very dark brown, young and very healthy with no sign of mange, quite a handsome chappie. I do not know whether he is resident here or in a neighbour's garden but he does have a regular outing from next door through my hedge , up my drive, then up my garden. But the rate he trots I will not be able to follow him quick enough to see where he goes.
One table top scrubbed - will do the four chairs when I finish my lunch. The purple rhododendron is lovely beside the pink tamarisk surrounded by self seeded pale pink aquilegias.
I have done much more than my six hours today, but sweet peas all planted up and pelargoniums out in the garden. I just keep gasping with the beauty of it all so had to take some more pics.
Marion you look like you been busy your gardens looking lovely, i've got a lot of plants being delivered next weekend, hope the weather is going to be fine, I've been tidying my garden and cutting the lawn while the weather is fine, relaxing now

What a treat to have the fox for company, however fleeting.
