Not too bedadraggled up the garden so deadheaded roses and rescued ripe plums and apples from the birds and took some pictures.  Lots of more rosebuds have appeared and the hibiscus bushes are covered in buds so look promising.

Lovely Marion. I always liked the cotoneaster horizontalis and it looks really good on the white background . I'm also keen on the lemon coloured Nasturtium. They are all looking very pretty and fresh - obviously happy to have had lots of rain.

Yes, Pat,I think I was the only one looking bedraggled up there this morning.  Expecting the rain any minute as it has got black as night now so came in so I did not have to run!

Garden soaking wet and small duck pond this morning so water table is high and we have had heavy  rain through the night which i slept through without noticing.  We have a yellow warning of flooding issues till 5pm so more heavy rain forecast.  More athletics watching for me today then.  Some of the tomato plants could come out of the conservatory as they have finished fruiting but not in the rain.  I will bide my time with that as the pelargoniums etc will be fine outside for a month or so.  Just gone black as night so looks like rain will arrive very soon.

Suddenly the sun came out so I rushed into the garden, emptied the standing water from pots and put my chrysanthemums back out in the sunshine.
