Too wet to step on my soil in case I damaged the structure so just took pics from the paths and in the conservatory to help alleviate my withdrawal symptoms.

TY flowers in the rain.  It did lift my spirits just wandering round with my camera.  Better weather today so plan on planting out some of my winter bedding.  The violas are flowering well now.  Also would like to get some of the perfume garden planted up.  There will no doubt be lots of Bramley fallers to pick up too.  It is warm already in Bristol and set to get warmer in the afternoon.

Oh what a glorious day.  It is a long time since I sweated so much.  Must be very warm.  The eucalyptus bark is peeling beautifully and the silver birch looks lovely in the autumn sunshine but lots of plants still think it is summer or next summer perhaps in the case of the hebe.

Oh by the way Fruitcake is planning on visiting me on Nov.9th when she has a day off.  she has had a bad time with a virus infection which has taken a lot out of her so I hope the sun shines that day.

Another bright sunny day in Bristol, not at all what is expected in November.  14 degrees forecast and dry and sunny all day.  I believe lots of the country has fogso we are very lucky indeed.  More work on the perfume garden today.  I started clearing the undergrowth from round the edges of the two sides that abutt the spinney.  The other two sides have a chippings path which is fairly easy to keep weed free but the brambles, nettles and bindweed are encroaching from the spinney.  Deep breath!
