Such a lovely morning up the garden . Blue skies and bright sunshine, birds singing, Vinca major in flower where I was hacking back the brambles and the ivy thicket has new flowers budding as well as lots of berries from last year's flowers. It and the flowering quince seem always to be biting their own tails. I have started to fill up the green wheeliebin again minutes after it was emptied.
I don't think we had any sun here today Marion, in fact I don't think it even got light until lunchtime!! It's saving itself for me for the weekend so I can tackle my veg patch
Dry today till late in the afternoon but then we have three days of rain forecast so I must get as much done outside as possible today. Especially as wind is coming. With so many huge trees in my garden it is not safe to garden in the wind although i do keep an eye out for any dead branches all through the winter.
Wind getting up has sent me scurrying indoors with bright red cheeks as it is a bit colder this morning than yesterday. It does make you look very healthy though! I expect I am really.
Thats what I tell people if I meet them just for the look on their faces !!
Seriously Lucy opens the allotment all day Wednesdays to people with different needs and limited abilities and its exceptionally rewarding for both sides
Seeing people less blessed than me laughing at soil and weeds is very humbling
There is an Eco house built from tyres and straw and covered in lime plaster
Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.
Marion it's not stopped raining here since Sunday and it's getting very windy too, you seem to get good weather in Bristol, you are very healthy Marion you eat your five a day every day .
missing being in the garden Marion, it's been soggy wet since October Roll on spring
NewBoy2, love the sound of that Eco house! Fumpy1 the Great British garden Revival tonight was on Daffodils and spring blossom and made me long for spring too. We are very lucky in Bristol as the Mendip hills shelter us from a lot of the storms coming in from the Atlantic.
Gosh we have had some rain. Still raining now and a duckpond outside the kitchen door. and it is dark as night. Must content myself with the conservatory today although the forecast says fine and sunny in the afternoon. We shall see. It does not look very promising.
Unbelievable. blue sky, bright sunshine, duckpond disappeared, very mild indeed. I shall just finish making the chicken/lentil soup for the freezer and get out there. So sorry I doubted the forecast. I must say the short term forecast seems always to be accurate nowadays no matter how weird it seems.

I think there is stormy weather on the way for later in the week for Bristol.
