Bristol seems to be one of the few places to have escaped the snow. It is very bright , dry and sunny. Bitterly cold though so will wait till after lunch to venture out.
I did see it Marion, and got quite cross with the BBC report on the news this morning as it is not the allotmenters who are protesting. They are resigned to their "fate" and are working with the council about a new site.
This lot of protesters get little sympathy or empathy from me I'm afraid. They aren't doing anything useful or helpful and the allotmenters are quite annoyed with them too.
Although I completely agree that the bus lane does not need to run straight through. when the new train station at Henbury goes ahead, it will either run immediately adjacent to one of my plots, or right through it But I won't be climbing trees in protest lol
Oh gosh is it the Rent a Protest Group again! I hope none of them perish in this icy weather. No amount of money would get me to sleep up a tree in this weather! Going out in the garden for half an hour after having a nice hot lunch. I think I will be OK if I keep moving.
I did manage nearly an hour of pruning work and a bit of weeding today with a backgound noisy accompaniment which i tracked down to a mechanical digger digging out foundations on the site of our pub which was knocked down last year. Now i will be on tenterhooks till ! find out what is being built. Surely if it was a tower block of flats overlooking my garden the council would have warned me or do you have to find out for yourself? It is on the corner of a quite busy road with no parking space so doubt it cannot be that.
Which pub do you mean Marion? The wayfarer or okebourne? I know the wayf is going to be a co-op (most annoyingly as they are undoubtedly the most expensive supermarket chain amd seem to have the monopoly in our area!) and the oke is apparently going to be housing
The Okebourne pub was right behind the end of my garden till it was knocked down so housing it is. Probably a pair of semis would fit in the space as long as they do not mind a minute garden. TY Fruitcake.
I think it's very likely that I have driven past your house dozens of times And not realised! My best friend lives around the corner. Next time, I'll pay some attention!
Another very cold day so will put off gardening outside till the afternoon. Very bright sunshine is enticing but the cold blast on my face when I opened the kitchen door sent me scurrying back indoors. The builders who are building the new house or houses must be perished.
The forsythia twigs I brought into the house on 20th Jan. have just opened their flowers this morning , just over a fortnight later. Last year they opened in ten days but it was warmer.

Lovely Marion - a little ray of sunshine indoors.
