wow!. Is there no end to your versatility? I wouldn't begin to know how to think up an abstract.

I went to the post office for a stamp to send last night's program to my friend who could not go this week to the play and had to pass the charity shop where i bought these three terra cotta and ceramic plant pots for 50p each.  Took their picture then went up the garden with my camera.  July is so bright and colourful in the garden.

Awww the "Autistic Gardener" on Channel4 tonight was again brilliant.  The team built an outdoor sitting room and separate dining room all embellished with beautiful planting in pots on two levels in a tiny 4m by 8 metres garden for £1200!  The young couple were delighted and the young woman called it a work of art which it was.

I hope we get the show out here eventually. It sounds very good viewing.

It is Pat and I expect it would be appreciated in Australia where you must have many autistic people too.  If ever there was a program guaranteed to lift the spirits this is it.  I sit through the whole hour with a smile on my face and now and again laugh out loud with them.  Occasionally there is a tear too.  It behoves us all to make everywhere open to the public as appealing as possible with plants so that they can weave their spell on anyone who needs them which is most of us.  I like to put perfumed plants along my front wall so that anyone with poor eyesight can smell the flowers.

That's a nice idea - the perfumed plants idea.

I've seen, on Gardening Australia, a couple of places where people with genetic problems (trying to say that politely without giving offence, I hope) are working in plant producing or growing areas. I'm not sure if they were on salary or if it was one of those volunteer places.  I do know that all of the people seemed very happy and fulfilled.

Just noticed my streptocarpus species is flowering on my bathroom windowsill.

my Streptocarpus is having a rest at the moment, but always comes good again when the weather warms up.  I have done a painting of mine which is a deep purple.  Another time, I'll send you a copy of it.

i like the colour of yours.

hooray, I did it.  this is my Streptocarpus painting. I sold it some time ago, but still make cards, since the copyright is still mine.
